The dream of becoming a welder and metal fabricator started when I was a kid, watching biker build-offs on TV and ironworkers walking the high steel above Portland, OR. I picked up my first welding torch at 12 years old—and I never looked back.

Driven to turn that passion into a career, I put myself through pipe welding school and hit the road, learning the pipeline trade firsthand. After several years traveling from job to job, it was time to lay down roots and start a family—so we shifted gears and joined the local ironworkers union.

But the spark didn’t stop when the workday ended. I was always in the garage, chasing the next project, pushing my skills, and feeding the fire that got me started in the first place. That drive carried me from the field into leadership—foreman, superintendent, project manager, estimator.

Today, I run heavy structural steel projects throughout the Phoenix metro area. But along the way, I saw a gap in the industry: a need for a fabrication shop that prioritized craftsmanship over volume.

That’s why I started MAYFAB LLC.

While other shops may focus on production, we’re a family-owned company built on passion and precision. Every piece we create is treated like it’s our own—detailed, intentional, and made to last. We’re not just building metal—we’re building dreams.
